How’s your AI initiative going? We recently partnered with the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) on a survey that found 89% of enterprises are experimenting with AI to augment Strategic Response Management (SRM) — the people, practices, and technology that unlock organizational knowledge for profitable growth. A McKinsey survey revealed that 75% of respondents believe GenAI will “lead to significant or disruptive change.”
It’s safe to say that the race is definitely on to derive value out of AI, which is why, “Today, Responsive AI is getting a significant upgrade,” said AJ Sunder, CPO, Responsive. In fact, advanced AI breakthroughs headline our Responsive Fall 2024 Release. Read on to learn more and find out what else is new in the Content Library, Organization Settings, and an integration with Confluence.
Responsive to date
As the recognized leader in SRM, we have AI at our core. Machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) have been central to automation and search on our platform since we started, and the latest platform updates capabilities further our AI leadership. New GenAI-powered offerings accomplish smarter and faster first drafts for proposals in minutes and unlock organizational knowledge to enable GTM teams to respond in real time to customer questions. More than 2,000 companies, including 20% of the Fortune 500, use Responsive to respond smarter to RFXs, questionnaires, and real-time ad hoc questions.Responsive Fall 2024 Release
In spring 2024, we touched on how Responsive AI helps multiple teams involved in the strategic response process. For this release, we unveil new GenAI-powered offerings that are available now, one that is advancing quickly through beta, and other platform advancements that make life easier for Responsive admins, response strategists, and content subject matter experts (SMEs). Responsive Fall 2024 Release offerings include:- Responsive AI…
- Generates comprehensive first drafts of proposals.
- Places organizational knowledge — Content Library plus approved external sites — at the fingertips of all field teams.
- Automates scanning of MS Word documents (in beta).
- Enables prospect and customer InfoSec teams to quickly search security content that you share through Profile Center, saving them the hassle and time of sifting through multiple documents (in beta).

- Confluence Integration: This new integration allows for seamless collaboration among teams working on response projects from Responsive and Confluence.
Responsive AI offerings
In the 2024 State of Strategic Response Management Report, we learned that the top three expectations of AI in SRM are to:- Automate or simplify content management
- Quickly and easily draft and optimize responses
- Check responses for accuracy and compliance, flagging risks along the way
Ask
As of Fall 2024 Ask is generally available for all customers. Revenue-generating teams can have Q&A-style conversations with Ask to get AI-guided answers for deal-impacting questions. This advanced Responsive AI offering draws from trusted organizational knowledge and approved external websites (this is a good time to remind you that Responsive protects your privacy and security by not training its AI models on customer data). Given the vetted nature of the content, teams can turn to Ask for fingertip access to answers to ad hoc questions for time sensitive calls, emails, or direct messages. Natural language prompts make Ask simple to use and clear citations give users confidence in the accuracy of the responses. Currently in beta, Ask in Profile Center equips prospect InfoSec teams to easily search your security profile for quick answers to ad hoc questions. Instead of sifting through your shared security, compliance, and privacy documents like SOC2, ISO, GDPR, etc., profile viewers can quickly launch Ask and find exactly what they’re looking for.GenAI-powered first drafts
Ask isn’t the only new advanced Responsive AI writing capability. Moving beyond the individual Q&A-pair level, customers can now tackle entire bids, questionnaires, and assessments in record time, generating a first draft with personalized responses. The responses are tailored based on upfront prompts that can specify tone, style, and other preferences based on questionnaire requirements and business needs, such as addressing SMB versus enterprise-level detail. This advanced offering looks across the entirety of your Content Library to generate a draft of responses to nearly every question. Or, you can instruct it to pull content only from specific files, links, or documents. The value our teams are seeing by using Responsive’s Ask application is that we can generate answers to questions from our own approved content library, or pull content from approved websites as well. Immediate access to our validated content has been a game changer for us. Speed, accuracy, and the ability for our sellers to address deal-impacting questions in a timely manner will only contribute to better client experiences and efficiency across the organization.

Responsive AI automated Word import
While Responsive customers have been able to import structured Excel documents since our initial release in 2015, the ability to import unstructured Word documents requires more sophisticated AI. This offering removes manual work out of a labor-intensive process and shows exactly what questions and sections need to be addressed. We view this automation as a core Responsive AI offering, and it is currently available in beta. Check out a quick demo of how the newest Responsive AI offerings seamlessly integrate with existing functionality to fuel new levels of speed, accuracy, and trust for GTM teams.Other Responsive Fall 2024 Release offerings
Not to be outdone by Responsive AI, other platform offerings will appeal to multiple users. Content managers and system administrators will see big efficiency gains through hierarchical tagging, a hybrid framework that combines the best of folder and tagging systems. New customers will find the transition from a folder-only system much less taxing. Current customers will recognize increased flexibility and a simple way to level up the sophistication of their content management processes. System administrators will also want to try out new faster, easier, and intuitive organization settings. Among the highlights are quick access to favorite and frequently used settings, as well as deeper search that is enhanced with filters. Finally, all customer teams will benefit from Responsive’s new integration with Confluence — a leading provider of team collaboration software. The integration allows for seamless access to Confluence without leaving the Responsive Platform, including the ability to:- Easily access knowledge within Confluence to respond to RFXs
- Preview and apply answers and attachments
- Filter by Confluence workspaces for greater content accuracy and control
