About the Role

Responsive is looking for a product minded Software Engineer with strong technical skills and a passion for building scalable solutions. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and contribute to the growth of a top-tier SaaS company.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Distributed Systems Development: Design, develop, and maintain Responsive application ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize performance, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring low-latency query responses.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and UX designers, to deliver seamless and intuitive experiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in technologies, conducting research and experimentation to drive innovation.
  • AI & Intelligent Systems Development: Design, develop, and optimize AI-powered features leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, semantic search, intelligent automation, and agent-based workflows to enhance the Responsive platform. 

What We’re Looking For

Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm-based solutions using Java and related technologies.

Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:

  • Strong Java programming skills with expertise in object-oriented design, design patterns, and server-side application development.
  • Experience with backend and frontend technologies such as Spring Boot, React, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with knowledge of cloud-native services.
  • Working knowledge of search and retrieval technologies, including Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, or similar. Exposure to NLP, semantic search, and AI-powered search solutions is an advantage.
  • Experience building AI-powered applications using LLMs such as OpenAI GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or similar, including prompt engineering and model integration.
  • Hands-on experience developing RAG-based solutions using embeddings, vector databases, and document retrieval techniques.
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar, along with AI agents, workflow orchestration, and tool/function calling.
  • Experience following software engineering best practices, including unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and technology-driven environment.
